Listed discovers why you should really go to Beers!

Beers is located in the Land van Cuijk, one city and 32 villages in the northeast of Brabant. With the meandering Maas on one side and the Peel on the other. In this area with endless fields, shifting dunes, extensive state forests with heathlands and the unique Maasheggen, there are quiet villages with here and there characteristic longhouse farms.

Just outside Beers, in the middle of the agricultural landscape of East Brabant, we drive up a driveway. While parking our car, we immediately experience a relaxed (Ibiza) atmosphere. We enjoy walking to our flat. And let the Tuynloodz flats be exactly the reason why you really have to go to Beers.

Welcome to the Tuynloodz flats!

What a warm welcome. A fresh bunch of tulips and a delicious cake are waiting for us on the table. Would you like a cup of tea or coffee, but you haven't done your shopping yet? No problem, it's ready for you.

Owner Nardy has decorated the flats with so much taste and care that you immediately feel at home. Beautiful combination of materials and colours.

The flat can accommodate four people. In the living-dining room, there is plenty of room on the soft corner sofa. There is a sturdy dining table in the compact kitchen. On the ground floor you will also find the bedroom and bathroom with toilet and rain shower. Via a somewhat steep staircase in the bedroom you reach the second bedroom. Both rooms have a double bed. And how nice, the beds have already been made for you and towels are waiting for you.

Around the Tuynloodz!

From the living room you walk straight onto the terrace. Dream away in the hanging chair and enjoy the peace and quiet and the view of the fruit orchard.

The people behind the Tuynloodz.

Koen and Nardy run the Tuynloodz together with Tim, their eldest nephew. Koen is active in the garden world, he makes sure that the gardens look beautiful. Quality and style are important to him. This is well reflected in his design of the flats. Nardy is concerned with the interior. Her passion for style, interior design and creativity is so well reflected in the design of the flats. Tim came around the corner later on. He wanted to help setting up and running the "Tuynloodz" project. You will have contact with him when making a booking and with questions during your stay.

The story behind the Tuynloodz.

In the autumn of 2019, Koen and Nardy started to itch. They had an old shed behind their house for some time, but did not know what to do with it. After years of disconsolate vacancy, they thought it was time to give it a new purpose. And so the idea for the flats was born. Koen and Nardy both really enjoy starting their own projects and bringing their creative ideas to life. After obtaining the permits, they immediately started working out their plans. The starting point was to build and furnish the flats in a warm and stylish manner. They also took the climate into account, with a heat pump and solar panels. You can now admire the final result.

There is plenty to experience from the Tuynloodz.

We prefer to stay in the hanging chair on the terrace and do nothing for a day. But we are also quite curious about what there is to do in the area and decide to go out. Do you want to walk? From the flat you can walk straight into the Brabant countryside via the orchard. Or take a walk over the Mookerheide and on the Maashorst you can spot Wisents. Borrow a bicycle from the Tuynloodz and take a ride along the Maas, or do a tour around the Kraaijenbergse plassen. These lakes are also great for sailing. In the neighbourhood of Middelaar? Then be sure to stop off at Restaurant de Loopplank. Delicious soup and a beautiful view over the water and the Limburg hills. Hire a mountain bike and discover, for example, in Groesbeek the Trauma path. According to professionals, the descent feels like a real roller coaster. Visit Landgoed/Castel Tongelaar. Take a walk through the fortified town of Grave. Learn everything about the Battle of Overloon in 1944 in the War Museum. Fancy some wellness? Then visit Sauna and Wellness Boat Mill or Thermen Berendonck in Nijmegen. Nijmegen is also a great place for shopping, walking from park to park or plopping down on one of the terraces on the Waalkade. Nice to know: from the bridge to Lent you can enjoy the Nijmegen skyline. Need tips for a lunch, drink or dinner? De Tuynloodz gladly shares them with you.

Listed cycling tipTake a look at Rondje 33. This route passes all beautiful villages in the region and takes you along the UNESCO Maasheggen.

Whether you want to walk or cycle, visit the fortified town of Grave or spend a day shopping in Nijmegen. You can go in all directions from Tuynloodz! Stay there for at least 2 nights and do absolutely nothing. Make a cup of tea, take a seat in the hanging chair on the veranda and enjoy. BAdd breakfast to your flat booking and enjoy even more!
