Enjoying an oasis of peace

Close to Orvelte, 'one of the most beautiful and oldest villages in the Netherlands', in the small picturesque village of Elp, Ruthy and Wil have built their monumental farmhouse and national monument from the 18th century.^e century beautifully converted into a delightful B&B 'The Five Suites'.

Five beautiful spacious luxury suites, each with its own character and all equally attractive. Of course with all the comforts that make a stay so pleasant. De Vijf Suites stands for relaxation, peace and quiet. Whether you are in the sauna, reading a book in the library or just lounging around. Or strolling through the rooms and enjoying the design, the art, the beautiful vistas. Or enjoy a drink and the view on the outdoor terrace when the weather is nice. You come here to relax and for a moment you don't have to do anything!

The B&B's breakfast room - look at the beautiful beamed ceiling - has a beautiful kitchen that guests can use themselves and where breakfast is also served. Now that is enjoyment. Ruthy and Wil, themselves 'emigrated' from the Randstad, totally understand what that is.

The surroundings of the B&B are also more than worth a visit. You can walk straight from the B&B to Nationaal Park Drentsche AA where the Scottish Highlanders are grazing. Visit the historic village of Orvelte, the Hunebedden (dolmens) and Herinneringskamp Westerbork. Or rent a bike or a scooter to discover the beautiful surroundings.
