The inspiring heart of the Veluwe', we read. That is why, on this sunny afternoon, we are driving towards the Veluwe to land in picturesque Nunspeet. Opposite the church on a car-free street is Dorpsherberg de Roskam. Nice historical fact is that this has always been an inn. There is even an almost mythical story that a king's son was born out of wedlock...

In 2017, the inn came up for sale and Anna Frens, a former flight attendant, knew: this will be my project. Upon entering, we immediately notice the relaxed and homely welcoming atmosphere. In the restaurant and at the bar, great care has been taken to create a very warm interior with funny details. Cheery wallpaper, original wall, an old bicycle converted into a reception desk and a living room where you can dive into the history of the inn. In the cupboard you will find, among other things, an old guest book and notebook of the old innkeeper. Your eye will also immediately catch beautiful works of art. Here you can enjoy an original meal with a special beer or a glass of wine selected by us. The Huiskamer can accommodate groups of 28 to 34 people. For lunch or dinner or for a presentation - workshop or consultation.

The hotel has 10 very nice rooms, quietly decorated with beautiful natural colours, wooden ceiling beams and all with a view. The luxury rooms are air-conditioned and have a roof terrace. All rooms have coco-mat beds, handmade and made with natural products.

From the inn, you can go in all directions. The Veluwe, the Veluwe Lake, the Hanseatic cities Harderwijk and Elburg. Plenty of cycling and walking routes, and of course water sports. And after a day on the road, one thing is certain: it is nice to come home again to innkeeper Anna Dorpsherberg de Roskam. Order a special beer, or a glass of wine, relax, or enjoy a good conversation at the traditional table.
